CST Testing...

CST testing are the initials for California Standardized Testing. CST's are the most important tests for Middle School. CST testing occurs at the final months of the 8th grade. CST testing is the process in which schools decide whether or not a student may move on to a high rank of a subject (ex. Algebra I to Geometry.) This year the Richard Merkin Middle School students took an Algebra I test, or a Geometry Test, A United States History Test, a Life Science test, and a English Test. So that will equal a total of 4 tests that we take in 2 weeks!  All students will receive our CST grading results over the summer. A exact date has not been assigned as far as we know. The results will inform us which subjects we are lacking skills and what subjects we are passing on. I believe that the CST grading will be graded with a Far Below Basic, Below Basic, Basic, Proficient, and Advanced. The only possible way a student will have to repeat a certain class is if he scored a Far Below Basic. Personally I think I did a pretty good job on all except for the Algebra I CST. In the beginning it was overall easy. But the other second half was a real pain. There were questions that i had no clue about. I was so frustrated. I mostly did educated guesses in the second half. English was simple for me. I've always been really good when it comes to Reading and Writing. I have had some trouble with the geography of the United States History CST. There were a lot of questions that i had no problem with.  But I only struggled with the geography. Ms. Menzies our History teacher never actually went over the Geography of places. Science was easier than i expected. The only thing i remember struggling with in science has to be the chemical equations of elements and compounds. My goal for all CST tests were to hit a 49% or above in all...
